John was born in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York in a town called Hunter, New York. He still resides there with his wife Diane. He was saved in 1977 at the age of 18, and has been singing Christian Country music since that time. He sings at coffee houses, county fairs, churches of all denominations, revivals, street ministry, tent meetings, and anywhere else he is asked to go. He was awarded 2001 Male New Artist of the Year, 2002 International Male Vocalist of the Year, and 2002 Entertainer of the Year (Given to the person who most effectively Ministers to the audience.) His purpose is "To spread the message of the Cross and the Good News of the Gospel in song and Word wherever a door is opened, to see the lost saved, to be an encouragement to those who are hurting and brokenhearted." He attends Lighthouse Bible Church in Hunter, New York. He has a beautiful clear tenor/baritone voice that brings with it the presence of the Holy Spirit. |
