– July 17,2010 Father, today we have been witnesses to the affirmation of your calling upon the life of our brother in Christ - John Osborne. You have prepared and equipped him to be Your obedient servant. Your word tells us in Ephesians 2:10 that "... we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Father, You have created this man with the skills, talents, gifts and abilities to do those good works which You have ordained from eternity that he should do that You may be glorified and that Your people may be blessed. Father, we thank You that His calling is not determined by man - education - popularity - or popular vote that he would be under obligation to serve the desires of men. Rather he has been set apart by You to walk in obedience to You guided by your Holy Spirit who has and will continue to teach him Your truth - to lead him in the way You have chosen - to equip him with all that he will need to fulfill Your will - to convict him of his sin and need for repentance - to encourage him in times of trouble and to give him the boldness to speak Your truth with boldness and the love of Christ. Father, I thank You that You have imparted upon this man an understanding of "The Cross" that only You could impart. That You have trained, equipped and released him to be Your faithful servant. I praise you Lord that on this day, July 17th in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 2010 You have given us the opportunity to publically acknowledge Your calling upon the life of John Osborne. Today we pray that Your will be done in his life that he will walk in obedience to You - that he will not be tossed to and fro by the desires and traditions of man. Father, You have set him apart to be Your servant, to speak Your truth, to sing your praises and to be your witness - help each of us Lord to remember John in prayer and to provide Your chosen servant with Godly counsel and wisdom. Father I ask , in the name of Jesus, that he be encouraged and assisted by Your people to be all that You have called him to be. I pray Lord that he will be willing to acknowledge and repent of his sin before you. Father I ask that You give John the grace to hear the wisdom and truth provided by Your Holy Spirit to him personally and through those Godly men and women whom You have placed in his life. Lord, I ask for a special anointing upon Diane - the woman You have chosen to intimately minister to this man - that she will be given the strength, boldness and wisdom to provide John with the counsel and comfort that only she will be able to give and which he will need as You lead Him upon the path You have chosen. Lord, You have chosen, created and prepared Diane to be one with John in this ministry - guide both of them as they continue to walk in the way You have chosen. I ask all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus Your son who died upon that Cross that we might have eternal life. Amen |
