John was born and raised in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York in a little town called Hunter, where he resides today with his wife Diane.  At a young age, John was taken to church on a regular basis by his Mom & Dad and at the age of 18, after attending a weekly Prayer and Praise Group, which was meeting near his home, John heard about the saving grace of the Lord Jesus.  But it wasn’t until several weeks later, after hearing the gospel message again from his Brother that John asked Jesus into his heart.  John recognized that he was a sinner and that Jesus was the only way to heaven.  During the next several years, John would encounter many valley experiences, including being diagnosed in 1992 with clinical depression.  But though it all, God has been faithful.  Knowing Jesus has nothing to do with Religion....its all about the Cross and what Jesus did FOR US!  No one is saved by anything they do....a person is saved because of WHAT JESUS DID!  Everyone ever born is born a sinner...sin separates us from God...God HATES SIN!...But God made a way for sinners to be made right in his sight and that was through the death of His only begotten Son, JESUS!  Admit that you are a sinner and in need of a Saviour...Confess with your mouth that JESUS IS LORD and ask Him to come into your heart....He will do it if you will simply come to Him and give your life to Him.

MINISTRY

In 1977, John was given the message that Jesus saves and that Jesus is “The way, the truth, and the life”(John 14:6), and that HE was the only way to heaven, and that going to heaven was not dependant on anything we could ever do but ALL that HE did for us on the Cross. John knelt beside his bed and asked Jesus to save him and forgive him of his sins and to come into his heart, and Jesus did exactly that.

John has been ministering Christian Country Music since 1977. He has ministered in coffee houses, county fairs, churches of all denominations, outdoor revivals, street ministry, tent meetings, weddings, and funerals.

John has to date (2007) recorded 8 CD’s. His latest “The Answer’s the Cross” will be released in June of 2007. John has opened concerts for David Patillo (whose songs have been recorded by country singer LeAnn Rhimes), Mike Manual, Pete Whitebird, Larry Barrett; Charlie May, Chuck Day, Marvin Morrow, The Primitive Quartet, and Susie Luschsinger(sister of Reba McEntire).

John has received several awards for his music including the 2001 Male New Artist of The Year, and the 2002 International Male Vocalist of the Year and the 2002 International Entertainer Of The Year(given to the person who most effectively ministers to an audience).

Johns ministry is a ministry to all people no matter what they have done or where they have been. His purpose for ministry is to spread the message of the Cross and the Good News of the Gospel in song and in the Word to wherever a door is opened. His priority is to see the lost saved and then to be an encouragement to those who are hurting and brokenhearted, to be a lighthouse for the lost and a help for those who are hurting.
